Why don't exempt students have to test before the 1st week, given the high rate of community transmission right now?

The FDA recently updated their recommendations to perform multiple tests to ensure accurate results from antigen tests – will Los Rios be providing additional tests to follow the new FDA recommendations or just one test as currently advertised?

If a students isn’t cleared will it say “not cleared" or will it be left blank? I have a few students on my rosters that have no information in the clearance column.

The CDC currently states no need to COVID test unless your having symptoms so WHY is los Rios still having religious & medical exempt employees still test????

How fast will a students status be updated after entering a test?

@Richard it takes PeopleSoft up to 24 hours to update from time of test results entered.

What to do about students and employees who come in with respiratory symptoms because they don’t want to miss class or work? This is a long standing pre Covid issue on our campuses. I’ve caught a lot of horrible bugs over the years because of this behavior

Check the dates on the masks that were left over in class. They have OSHA recognized expiration dates.

To answer the question about masks being provided, go to your campus operations site and request PPE supplies.

I had a student dropped for that reason who assumed I could just send him a permission number. I had to give him the bad news.

A few students aren't marked as Cleared or Not Cleared, but weren't dropped on the 9th. Are those just the students with exemptions? If so, why aren't they marked as Cleared?

On your rosters, there is a vaccination clearance tab on the far right.

Two Deans that I work with have suggested NOT to confront students who are not cleared and come to class. One Dean suggests giving them a note to inform them they need to take care of their status or they can not attend future classes. Another Dean suggested informing her so she could contact them. There appears to be some inconsistency in the messaging on this.

Is that testing for EVERYONE or just unvaccinated?

If students have a blank on the roster under "vaccination clearance", do we allow them in class or not?

It looks like we need clarification for day 1 of class. My understanding is that we may have uncleared students the first week because results aren't due until 8/27 (for exempt students). After the 27th, all should remain in a cleared status to continue coming to class. Correct?

8/27 is first day requiring test ...on going...so test Thursday 8/25 and every Thursday ongoing? or every Saturday or does it matter if once per week any day of the week?

Los Rios continues to suspend the daily auto-drop process for non-payment of enrollment fees. There was a drop on August 8 for fall 2022 classes, which included students who had not paid enrollment fees and students who had enrolled in in-person classes and were non-compliant with the Los Rios COVID vaccine requirement. And, there will be an additional drop for vaccine requirement non-compliance the night of August 18.

I would tell students to check their emails (including Spam). A lot of them receive information but miss it because they're not checking.
